For April Smith, her happy- ever-after didn't end with the final curtain of Snow White at the James McCabe Theatre in Valrico, Fla. Shortly after the final curtain on the eight-show run of the Village Players production, the show's writer and director, Terry Abbott, asked the audience to stay put for a special announcment.
That's when cast member Jim Golombek, who played both Snow White's father, the King, and a sausage salesman, stepped forward and made his way toward April, shown here giving an affirming hug to her real-life Prince Charming.
The night marked also a final celebration for a show that involved 57 actors and backstage technicians and helpers and the awarding of the Sylvia Jones Award to Abby Bailey, who played a young Snow White.
