Parallel Lives is a comedic stage show featuring more than 25 characters in a series of sketches that muse on such things as the battle of the sexes, homophobia, misogyny, religion, female anxiety, and oppression.
The show was staged on the community theater stage in April but returns for a "Passionately Pink Encore Weekend" at the James McCabe Theatre on Fifth Street in Valrico. Show times are June 5 and 6 at 8 p.m. and June 6 at 2 p.m. as well. Tickets cost $12 and proceeds will benefit the
Florida Suncoast Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure. Also during the shows a special raffle will be held to benefit the group's goal for saving lives and finding a cure for breast cancer. The raffles are for a series of gift baskets featuring a wealth of goodies from area donors and merchants.
