Aliquity's Dog Fest fundraiser, held Oct. 3, 2009, at the Winthrop Pole Barn event center off Bloomingdale Avenue in Riverview, benefited Southeastern Guide Dogs. The group's mission is to "create and nurture a partnership between a visually impaired individual and a guide dog, facilitating life's journey with mobility, independence, and dignity." Established in 1982, Souheastern Guide Dogs reports that is has "more than 800 active dog teams across the country and continues to create more than 70 new guide dog teams annually."

As for Aliquity, it reports that its motto of "Bringing the Pieces Together" encompasses the belief "about how communities and businesses should interact." The aim is to host events beneficial to the community while creating a way for businesses to bond with both each other and local customers.
