Members of the
Bloomingdale Chapter of the international
Invisible Children movement held a fundraiser, May 22, at the Barn Theatre at Winthrop in Riverview, Fla.
The fundraiser featured the music of four local bands --
Losing At Failing,
Lumsden,
The Quartet, and
The State Of -- as more than 120 attendees gathered to rock for a good cause. The cause supported is a nonprofit movement that benefits the children of war-torn Darfur. The aim also is to build awareness of the war in northern Uganda that has made soldiers of children.
