Posted by LINDA CHION KENNEY: About 350 ladies attended the "A Cup of Hope" tea at the First Baptist Church of Brandon at 216 North Parsons Avenue. The tea is held annually as a fundraiser for the Brandon Care Pregnancy Center at 122 North Moon Avenue. The center's "ultimate purpose" is "to lead our clients to the unconditional love of Christ and to guide them toward the decision of life for their unborn children. We are committed to the ministry of prevention, intervention and restoration through the services we provide." Serving on the April 19, 2008 tea committee were: Karen Brooks, Jodi Chadwell, Susie DeCort, Jessica Leigh, Carol Jo Meador, Debbie Price and Bobbie Ranalli.
