A highlight of Brandon High School's "Cirque du Retour" homecoming theme was the crowning of the 2008 Homecoming Queen and King, Toni Perez and Deandre Bowers. Principal Leslie Granich said Brandon for at least 16 years, the length of her tenure there as both teacher and administrator, has been hosting homecoming at the school. Each year the theme is reflected in elaborate decorations that transform hallways into theatrical settings. "Every one of our homecomings is unique in its own way," Granich said. The bar's set and it's always high." Keeping the festivities at the school is paramount, she said. "It brings people home, back to the building, back to Brandon."
