Haley House, which is associated wtih the James A. Haley Veterans Hospital in Tampa.
The hospital specializes in spinal cord, traumatic brain, and blast-injury treatment programs. For those living more than 50 miles from the hospital, and qualifying for aid based on income limits, the Haley House Fund houses the families of injured veterans as they undergo treatment for massive and multiple traumas.
"The Haley House helps families come out and help their guys heal," Ott said. "It helps bring their families to them, to where they can get the best treatment. The Haley House helped my son see his father multiple times before he died of cancer [on Feb. 1, 2009]."
