The foundation over four years has distributed more than $540,000 to area charities, according to the board. The foundation twice a year distributes checks. This year's fall check recipients were: Brandon Young Life, Children's Cancer Center, Family Justic Center of Hillsborough County, New Horizons Group Homes, Richard J. Meadows Memorial Scholarship, Cynthia Pinckney Ministries, Women's Resource Center of Tampa Bay and Bullets Baseball.

"It's amazing," Nymark said of the foundation's ability to raise more than $540,000 over four years. "I don't know of any other organization that's given this much back to the community in just four years. And it's more than just writing a check. It's absolutely about all these organizations and hooking them up with people and resources they didn't have before." Waldron promised that the half-million dollars raised to date is just the beginning. "It's absolutely just the beginning and it's a direct result of how giving this community is," she said. "If there's a need, somebody in this community will come up with a solution."
