This young boy joined hundreds of people at the southeast corner of Bloomingdale Avenue and Providence Road in Riverview, Fla., who were on hand Feb. 4, 2010 to pay their respects to U.S. Marine Corps Sgt. Daniel M. Angus.
Military officials reported that Sgt. Angus, 28, of Thonotosassa, Fla., died Jan. 24, 2010 while supporting combat operations in the Helmand province of Afghanistan.
The Providence Road segment was the final leg in the procession; the road leads to Serenity Meadows Memorial Park, Funeral Home, and Crematory. The procession for the local fallen soldier began its way from Tampa to east Hillsborough County shortly after his remains arrived at MacDill Air Force Base to a waiting cadre of soldiers on motorcycles.
