The 22nd Annual Walk Through Bethlehem at Kings Avenue Baptist Church, 2602 South Kings Avenue in Brandon, runs Dec. 11-14. Remaining hours: Dec. 12, 6:30 to 10 p.m.; Dec. 13, 4 to 10 p.m.; Dec. 14, 4 to 9:30 p.m.

Tending to their baby, Ethan, in the role of baby Jesus, are his parents Leith Brown, as Joseph, and Shannon Brown, as Mary. Shannon Brown said she and her husband "knew as soon as he was born" that Ethan would be one of several babies over many shifts to play the role of Jesus. "He was born on grandpa's birthday, July 28, 2008." Leith Brown, whose parents work at the church, said he has been in the annual walk "since I've been 7 and now I'm 28."

Church secretary Evelyn Brown said she believed Gallups was the oldest baby Jesus still performing with the annual re-enactment of Jews returning to Bethlehem for the census on the fateful night that Jesus Christ was born. Gallups is with his father, David, right, who annually oversees the setup of the makeshift village, and Jerry Messman.
