"People are nervous getting on stage but it's not really that scary," Fisher said. "When the spotlight's on you can't really see the audience so you forget about them [watching you]."

Tanner, a fifth-grader, said she loves to act "because it's fun and I like playing around with my friends." When she found out she got the title role, her mother said, "we were whooin' and hollerin' on the phone and just couldn't believe it!"
