Durant reined victorius in the Sept. 5, 2008 faceoff against crosstown rival Plant City High. The Raiders lost to the Cougars 25-6. The game is played for the James L. Redman trophy, so named for Mr. Redman, whose two grandsons played quarterback on the opposing teams, Durant and Plant City.
