Posted by TOWN JOURNALIST LINDA CHION KENNEY: Additional Memory Walk bricks were installed at the entrance of Brandon High School. Among them were bricks laid posthumously for Camden A. White and Jozsef Varga. An informal dedication ceremony is scheduled for June 16 at 9 a.m. in front of the school. Hillsborough County Sheriff David Gee is scheduled to be in attendance. His brick, too, was laid with the latest batch.

In memory of Camden A. White, a student who was killed walking to his classes at Brandon High School, was installed with 28 additional bricks in the Memory Walk outside the school's entrance. The 29 bricks were added to the collection of 117 bricks that had been installed since the Brandon High School Alumni Association instituted the Memory Walk in 2004, according to BHSAA President Marvin Lopez. The new bricks were layed May 29, 2008. An informal dedication will be held Monday, June 16, 2008, at 9 a.m., in front of the Memory Walk.

Memory Walk bricks on May 29. 2008 were installed in memory for Camden A. White, Jozsef Varga and Billy J. Sumnerfor. Also, for:
Diana Anderson (faculty 1996-06), Johnsie Crawford (faculty, 1963-06), Linda Holmer (faculty, 1974-06), Dan Heston (faculty, 1996-08), Norma A. Killebrew (class of '61 and faculty, 1991-05), Frank D. Wrinn (faculty, 1970-85), Russ Cozart (in recognition of his team's "Wrestling Streak," 1980-08), Pat M. Fussell (class of 1959 and "Pep Squad" advisor, 1965-01), Tom Edwards (faculty, 1955-64, 77-87), John Sherman (dean, 1976-93), Larry Bass (faculty, 1976-94), Jeff Miltner (class of 1966 and faculty, 1982-86, 95-02) and Mercedes Hernandez (faculty, 1949-86). Also installed were bricks for: James Richards (Class of '78), Karen Richards Reid ('84), Keith Richards ('80), Danny Richards ('82), Donna Richards Randall ('86), Chandler Everett Clark ('09), Sheldon C. Clark ('07), Adam Michael Gieseking ('08), Michael N. Rubio ('06), Joseph R. Rubio ('08), Bing Kearney ('73), Kathy McClain ('85), and David Gee ('77).

Slain soldier Cpl. Jozsef Varga was added to the Memory Walk. He died in 2006.

The sun shines brightly on the Memorial Walk, May 29, 2008. That day, an additional 29 brickes were added to the 117 already installed outside Brandon High School.

A memorial outside the school's entrance marks the spot where Brandon High student Camden Allen White lost his life. A brick in his honor was planted May 29, 2008 in the Memorial Walk not far from the roadside memorial.

In memory of slain soldier Jozsef Varga, a brick gets placed in the Memorial Walk outside the entrance to Brandon High School.

Room is readied for the Camden A. White Memorial Walk brick. He was born in 1991 and lost his life in 2006, in a tragic accident outside the school's entranceway. He was struck by a car walking to school.

"People love to have their names engraved, especially for something like this," said Cecil Murray, left, of the Murray Monument Co. of Antioch, with Paul Mueller.
