"Me talking about it got her [Loralei] into it and even my husband," Shannon said. "It's a story of a romance and a love that not many people experience anymore. It reminds me of when my husband and I met, the intensity of it. Today you see so many people getting divorced or saying, 'Oh, I love this person,' but it's not a deep-down thing that they would give up everything for. This [series] has that and it makes you go, 'I want that!' "
As for the release party, Shannon Ross said it's "a nice way for people to come together" to share their love for the series. A good diversion for kids, too, she added. As Ross put it: "I see kids at the mall all the time. Here, they're talking about books. And it brought mothers and daughters together.
