By LINDA CHION KENNEY: The Festival Fairgounds at Nativity Catholic Church in Brandon was the site for the 38th annual Novemberfest, featuring rides, entertainment, raffles and food. The Rev. Arthur J. Proulx, in an online letter to parishoners, offered his thanks to the "hundreds of fine parishoners and friends who gave so generously of their time. As you know, it takes over 9,000 volunteer hours to make it all work."
Ashley Dutton, 9, a fourh-grader at Nativity Catholic School, said Novemberfest is "awesome." What does she like? "Everything." Her favorite ride? "Sweeper." And now that the five-day festival is over, how does she feel? "Sad, 'cause I can't go on the rides again until next year."
