Gov. Charlie Crist on July 14, 2009 appointed Earl J. Lennard to serve as Hillsborough County Supervisor of Elections. The position had been vacant since the untimely death of
Phyllis Busansky. Above, Lennard is pictured at the 2009 Greater Brandon "United We Stand" Fourth of July Parade, where he served as one of four judges. A lifelong resident of Riverview, and a 1960 graduate of Brandon High School, Lennard retired from the Hillsborough County school system as superintendent of schools. He first entered the school system as a first-grader. He also was a member of the charter class of the University of South Florida.
