Hal Brewer, M.D., with his wife, Lynn, remembers the time before actors took to the stage as Plant City Entertainment some 30 years ago. It was with a community theater troupe known as The Little Theatre. In its wake came the group known as Plant City Community Theater. But, because its acronym, PCCT, was shared with Plant City Children's Theater, the decision was made to change the troupe's name to Plant City Entertainment. With three show dates in February, in its new home at 101 North Thomas Street, the actors and behind- the-scenes players for Plant City Entertainment shared with the community its celebration of 30 years on stage. The 2010 production featured a sentimental journey through the past with both musical selections that have stood the test of time and oral histories that gave testament to the power of art to cement community ties.
