"You know, it's true, the best way to stay afloat in business is to get your face time out there and be a part of the community you live in," said Fore, the chamber's treasurer, whose businesses are P.F. Auto Glass Inc. and Mary Kay. "Our hope this year is to have more [chamber] members and to just help each other's businesses grow."
"People helping people," that's the key to success in down times, added Walsh, of Walsh Commercial Cleaning Service and a member of the chamber's 2010 board of directors. "You get a relationship with the people and they're more likely to do business with you." The Riverview chamber, he added, "is like a little family. They're warm and they welcome you and it's growing. We had a lot of new members last year."
