The Fifth Annual Riverview Idol contest at Riverview High School enters its second round with 10 contestants. They were voted on after the first round of competition, which featured 25 singers chosen from among more than 60 auditioners.
The first round was judged by audience votes only; the second round included the comments of a three-member panel of judges.
The final round of competition, featuring the five finalists, is scheduled for Tuesday, Oct. 5 at 7 p.m. in the school theatre. Riverview High School is at 11311 Boyette Road in Riverview, Fla.
The competition has become an annual fundraiser for the Riverview High School chorus program, directed by Liz Stewart (third from the left in the back).
