Steve Saunders, a past recipient of the Alice B. Tompkins Community Service Award, with his wife Susan, the latest honoree. Susan Saunder received her award at the Community Roundtable's Community Affairs Dinner on Feb. 18, 2010. The affair was held at the Hilton Garden Inn Tampa Southeast, at 4328 Garden Vista Drive in Riverview. In all, 39 people have received the honor, including three husbands- and-wives, who won the award together in the same year, and Ardis and Sandy MacKinnons, who like the Saunders, earned their awards individually, in separate years.
