About 175 public school students attended the event hosted by the Hillsborough County School District's
student nutrition services department to taste and rate school lunch menu items for the 2010-11 school year. About 26 items were tested and served by food services employees and marketing representatives.
Among the items tested: turkey and egg frittata; turkey, egg, and cheese breakfast burrito; curry chicken with rice; fish tacos; Southwest veggie roll; and buffalo chicken flat bread.
