"They did a nice job with the layout," Meredith said about the fair officials, who have a new home at Sydney-Washer Road and State Road 60 in Dover, Fla. "They've done a really great job and I love [the fair] out here. I live in Valrico, so it's right here."

"It's a lot different than it was last year," Skeeter Hutchinson said about the Hillsborough County Fair, which this year held a full midway and livestock shows and competitions at the fair's new location at Sydney-Washer Road and State Road 60. He noted that this year, his two daughters, Samantha Newman, 16, and Lindsey Hutchinson, 16, and his son, T.J. Hutchinson, 9, showed livestock at the fair. As for the fair's future, Skeeter Hutchinson said: "This is just the beginning. In the last four years, it's just gotten bigger and better."

Both are former Harvest Queens; Gill won the title as a junior and Brown, as a senior. "I'll just say it was a very great and interesting experience for me, just being able to represent Hillsborough County and meet new people," Brown said. "It was a really good experience," Gill added. "And now Cherica is like my sister." Brown added that she learned a lot about animals, too, from Gill.
