Eileen McGinley, of the McGinley Academy of Irish Dance , has been dancing since she was six-years-old. "My parents were Scotish Irish and they loved the music and the dance and they put us {McGinley and her sisters) in classes when we were small and we never looked back," McGinley said. The sisters danced competitively for years, McGinley added, noting that she's been teaching for 15 years.

Irish dancing, McGinley said, "is a combination of tap and ballet, soft-shoe and hard-shoe." Her students are expected to practice daily and they attend classes three times a week. McGinley has two studios: in Tampa and Lutz.
