"Mr. Burnham is a wonderful teacher. He taught my older daughter, Heather, and she took his class more than one time," said Darlene Lazzarra, with her daughter, Stephanie, who is in Burnham's class today. Darlene Lazzarra said she agreed to be a chaperone on the field trip to the Dignity Memorial Vietnam Wall. "I'm glad that I did," she added. "Otherwise I probably wouldn't have come out to see The Wall."
The memorial, she added, "makes you realize how many people sacrificed their lives. To come and see all the names, and touch The Wall, it's very moving. Once you see it in person, it's just overwhelming. And it's a good experience for the kids, especially with what we're going through today."
