"Wild Dame Night" is an annual fundraiser for the Center Place Fine Arts & Civic Association in Brandon, Fla. The event started years ago in response to the Brandon Rotary Club's "Wild Game Night," a traditionally all-male event (before the Rotary club a few years ago welcomed its first women members). Wild Dame Night, billed as "an evening for ladies only," this year featured "Sleeping Beauty," an original musical based on the classical fairy tale." The show was performed by Stages Productions, the theater troupe that performs children's shows regularly at Center Place and that bills itself as "professional theatere for families since 1988."

Set to perform for Stages Productions are Hilary Kraus (Princess Briar Rose), Amy Gray (Persephone) and Terri D'Onofrio (Ogretta). The program notes: "Since 1988, Stages Productions has brought the excitement of the live theatre to over two million young people throughout the Southeast. Stages' goal is to stimulate the cultural, intellectual and ethical development of young people by making drama an integral part of education. We gratefully acknowledge Center Place for recognizting the value of arts education and helping us to achieve our goal." The program note was submitted on behalf of Rick D'Onofrio and his sister, Terri, the company's producers.

Also backstage with Stages Productions are Stephen Ray (Wilhelm Grimm) and Antony Rukstele (Jacob Grimm).

Tammy Holmberg, the honorary mayor of Brandon until July 4, is the incoming president of the Center Place Fine Arts & Civic Association. She and her husband are the proprietors of the Chick-Fil-A restaurant in Lake Brandon Village.
