Bailey, who recently moved in to the Winthrop Town Centre in the greater Brandon / Riverview area, said she foregoed a Grand Opening celebration in favor of community benevolence. As she put it: "I'd rather raise money for charity than just have a party. Because we're such a tight-knit family (of merchants at Winthrop), I'd rather include everybody."

Melody and Mike Kreseski, proprietors of the Heaven Scent Soap & Bath Boutique. The store, featuring hand-made, glycerin-based Sister Agnes soaps, originally opened in a Winthrop "incubator" retail storefront. The business soon outgrew its smaller footprint, which led to its re-opening in a larger retail space in the center. Melody said of the incubator experience: "It's a great way to test the waters, to see if you like the retail lifestyle. I found I totally loved it and enjoyed it."

Jim and Shannon Cloversettle originally opened Happy Paws & Tails in a Winthrop "incubator." There, they proved the worth of their business concept, allowing them to move into a larger Winthrop retail space. In addition to pet food and products, the store features the "Life Is Good" line of T-shirts and other products.

Melody Kreseski said she loves being a Winthrop Town Centre retailer. "Everybody here is down- to-earth and you can be yourself," she said.
